In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine cult.

The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
